Regional Safety Director
Mike brings over 26 years experience in safety, health, and environmental management from the shipyard, construction, general industry, and insurance sectors. Regulatory compliance, the prevention of incidents, and the implementation of productivity principles are the focus of his efforts, and he accomplishes this by overseeing the execution of the Corporate Safety Plan. Mike helps ensure that clients' projects are completed safely, productively, and on schedule, by instilling in all employees and managers the core belief that all incidents are preventable. As the company's senior safety and health executive, reporting to the Chairman and CEO, he instills the knowledge and awareness of safety, health, environmental, and field productivity matters, and provides training on the Corporate Safe Work Practices (SWPs) to all levels of the organization. Mike also provides guidance to all divisional teams on EMCOR Productivity and Motion is Money principles. Implementation of these two key programs results in improved field productivity and the prevention of incidents that have a relationship to motion in the work place.
Facility Safety & Health Expertise
A graduate of Temple University, Mike's experience spans the safety, health, environmental, and insurance fields, providing him with expertise in industrial hygiene, construction, general industry, and environmental safety. Prior to joining Fluidics, Mike held safety and health positions in various capacities. Mike worked with the Department of the Navy performing safety and health audits at various Naval and Marine facilities as well underway sea trials. Prior to that, he was a Site Safety Manager with EBASO/Raytheon Engineers and Constructors during the construction and start up of four cogeneration power plants, and also he previously held positions at Johnson Matthey Precious Metals reclamation plant and PMA Insurance.
Mike is a member of the National Safety Council, the National Fire Protection Association, and the American Society of Safety Engineers.
The Personal Side
Mike is married, has two sons, and enjoys various hobbies. He has been an Emergency Medical Technician since 1981, and in his spare time, works with Gloucester County Emergency Medical Services.
